What’s new: Subscriptions inside TRIO

Starting this month, any club – Rotary, Toastmasters, Lions, golf clubs, sports clubs, alumni associations – can view, renew, and manage their TRIO subscription without ever leaving the platform.

No more separate invoices. No more “where do I pay?” emails. No more access interruptions because someone forgot to click a link.

How it works (in plain English)

1. Your billing page, always accessible

Every club now has a Subscriptions section under Club Settings. There you can see:

  • Your current plan
  • Billing period start and end dates
  • Payment history (each period has its own record)
  • Any pending renewal waiting for payment

2. Automatic renewal generation – no manual setup

About 30 days before your annual subscription expires (or 7 days for monthly), TRIO automatically creates a pending renewal for your club.

  • Uses the same plan and current pricing (exchange rates updated daily)
  • You’ll receive email reminders at 7, 3, and 1 day before expiry, on expiry day, and 1 day after

3. Pay in seconds with PesaPal

Click “Pay Now” → secure PesaPal checkout. Choose:

  • M‑Pesa (Kenya clubs, automatically in KES)
  • Card (Visa/Mastercard)
  • Bank transfer (where available)

Payment instantly updates your subscription status.

4. Access never breaks – but if it does…

While active, everything works normally. If you forget to renew and your subscription expires, TRIO locks premium features (member directory, event ticketing, advanced reporting) until you renew. But:

  • The billing page remains accessible
  • Your data is never deleted
  • A clear message tells you exactly what expired and how to fix it

5. Free forever for youth / student clubs

Youth clubs (Rotaract, Interact, student clubs, etc.) pay nothing.
No expiry. No payment required. No reminders.

For treasurers: What you’ll love
